Tanzania

Tanzania is Africa's visual masterpiece. It is a country of natural splendour, astounding year-round wildlife, seductive beaches, archaeological sites and geological wonders. Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, rises from lush, grassy plains and towers over the land. The ideal bush and beach destination, visitors to Tanzania can witness the mighty herds of the Great Migration thundering across the Serengeti plains and end their unforgettable safari with a serene beach holiday on Zanzibar, the intoxicatingly beautiful and exotic Spice Island.

Exceptional Experience

Tarangire National Park
One of the lesser-known game reserves in Tanzania, Tarangire rivals the Serengeti in the great number and diversity of its wildlife. It is a good choice for travellers who wish to encounter more animals (particulary elephants as it's renowned for frequent sightings) and less tourists while on safari.

Selous Game Reserve
Secluded and off-the-beaten-track, the Selous Game Reserve offers visitors a slice of undisturbed wilderness, teeming with a spectacular array of fauna and flora. It was declared a World Heritage Site due to its dramatic landscapes and great diversity of wildlife. The Selous is one of the few big games reserves to allow hiking, offering nature lovers the chance to explore Tanzania's pristine landscapes on foot.

The Great Migration
The annual movement of wildebeest and other herbivores across the Setengeti-Mara ecosystem consists of more than 1.5 million wildebeest, 400,000 zebra, 18,000 eland and 200,000 Thompson's gazelle. The Migration is rarely the same in terms of precise timing and direction.

Zanzibar Island
Known as the Spice Island, the beautiful island of Zanzibar on Africa's east coast is bursting with culture and history. With its idyllic geography of white-sand beaches with palms swaying lazily in the sea breeze, a perfect place to relax and unwind.
